Nordic Traffic Safety Academy (NTSA) is a forum to exchange information and experience in research and education. The NTSA was established in 2011 by a group of academics from several Nordic universities and research centers.
The purpose of NTSA was declared as:
‘to promote scientific discussion within the road traffic safety society on a multidisciplinary base and to enhance the scientific aspect and status of road traffic safety as an academic discipline‘
In 2020, Nordic Traffic Safety Academy joined ICTCT as a sub-committee. The decision was motivated by extensive overlaps in aims, subjects of interest and memberships. NTSA still keeps its profile, organizing annual seminars (traditionally in May) in one of the Nordic countries—though warmly welcoming participants from other countries, too.
